I've been hyped to get this one out for a while <3 We've jointed with Condensation to bring you C-blossom -case 729- v02 c03! I absolutely adore this mangaka, and we've got her newest work planned as well <3 But for now, enjoy more C-blossom! Barring the end of the world, we'll have the final chapter out within the month!
Also, some download links might be temporarily down. Our main server has to close, so I'm uploading stuff to another server and transferring links. I'll let you know when it's all done, at which point you can email me if you find any remaining broken links. Thanks!
So, some crazy pack of wild staffers has kinda ravaged my nice organized system lately. Been too busy translating and scanning and stuff to QC =D Which means we need QCers badly! Please apply if you have the time and patience. I mean, you'd probably cry if I told you some of the series sitting in QC right now. But don't worry, even if their QC box is getting way too overcrowded, they're given everything a growing manga series could need. Every now and then a new one magically appears, so they must be having a good time in there O.o
Sole release this week (last week?) is Sengoku Strays v02 c06. Because it was short =P I am completely biased towards short chapters. Thankfully they can't sue for discrimination because, uh, they're inanimate objects. But that's okay, we love them anyway.
Fun times today! We have the first half of Hanakisou v2 -- though you guys might want to wait for the finale next week to read them together =D More Kagerou for the uber-fans, and some fresh blood on DRUG-ON and Ryuu no Yuigon to get 'em moving again (yay Suri~). By the way, Ryuu? Yeah, that's the wonderful gushy romantic stuff, for anyone still wanting more Valentine's Day mush. Gotta love Ryuu! Oh, right, and we've got the whole volume of Rakuen for you. Because Fujiwara Kaoru is love <3
...and zero fluff this week =D Well, unless you consider My Girl fluff, but I like to consider it bittersweet poetry. ...will make up for the few releases this week with next week's release (hopefully =P).
Mass release week! Because I realized we had like 3 volumes worth of manga in QC. So I give you... just over 2 vols worth =D Couple notables in there! First up, there's a nice action supernatural short story, for anyone looking for a quick fix. Next, this ends the main story of Kugutsu! There's just one unrelated short story left in the volume. The Kugutsu plot picks back up in Kugutsu Hard Link, which we're working on ^^ And finally... we've got the entire volume of Zantei Koibito for all you BL fans! Thank Del, he translated it all in like one weekend because he loves suits and linguistics (...yeah, I don't get it either =P). Enjoy!
And... here's our long-awaited Morimoto Shuu day <3 Angels, garison guys, and Senkaijin are all there for the taking (...no dirty thoughts, people >.>).
And so... we're trying the "community" thing =D LiveJournal won by a pretty good margin, with another third of votes saying they'd use something they don't have to register for... so this works for like 70% of participants. I'm going to be pretty hands-off, so we'll see if people actually use it, haha. But there you go, a place to chat with each other and the staffers and I~
2010! Happy New Year, everyone! ...and January 4th, the dreaded day when everyone has to go back to work/school. It was fun while it lasted! In consolation, we have a few releases for ya~
Also, one last thing, because I'm fickle. I didn't really think much was going on in the forum, but some people have asked about stuff like that, so I'm wondering if maybe we should have a community? If nothing else, it'd be nice for fans of our projects to actually chat about it (I see all these fangroups for our projects all over the place, and it makes me a little sad that no one really discusses our series here). Little stuff like icons and fanart and things you see at dedicated fan communities ^^ Anyway! So in typical me-style, I've gone and made a poll. Feel free to enter another community option in there!
Hope everyone had an absolutely wonderful Christmas! (Or lazy day ^^) And caught some great deals today (I know I did!). Actual manga-related news, this wraps up v1 of Hanakisou ~ and the chapters in v2 are 100pgs long, so it'll be a bit till we get them out! But... not too long. Take care!
So, long silence there... work and holiday craziness setting in. A few chapters for you today, and just another half dozen over the course of the month. We'll pick things back up in the new year. Enjoy your holidays! And Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it~
...and now it's December, which is slightly depressing. I have to start thinking about buying presents ^^; But anyway, we have some angst, some kick-ass, and some fluff to tide you over for now =D
Alrighty! So the final complete project of November is Kizu! And yeah, someone guessed it right off the bat... I never thought people actually paid attention to our future project statuses O.O Good to know it isn't completely useless, haha. Anyway, I'm super-excited to finally get this out; we'd picked up all three Otsuichi/Kiyohara Hiro collaborations, planning to do them all, and then one got started by another group and another one got licensed... but at least I got to do this one! Hope everyone enjoys ^^ Full list of releases:
And there's two more new projects in there... ^^ Yet more fantasy! Rain is more of a light-hearted fantasy, while Kagerou Nostalgia is more epic (...or something like that O.o). We're picking up Kagerou from where Boku-Tachi left off. Anyway, check 'em out!
And continuing with our own version of November Sweeps ~ one complete project every week =D Bet you didn't see this one coming, hmmm? Today we have Natsu, Kimi ga Saku c04-06 (end) for everyone! Chapter 4 and 5 are super-fluffy, but c6 has that wonderful bittersweet atmosphere that I love the mangaka for. Check it out! Also, we have Doll Star v01 c03.2, and a brand new project: Hanakisou v01 c01. The first of many, many new projects (you didn't think we were just going to finish a ton, did you?). Hanakisou is a gorgeous, emotional fantasy with (yep, you guessed it) lots of bishies. Check it out if any of those things appeal to you! Oh, and go ahead and guess what our final complete project this month will be. Yep, one more. It isn't anything obvious =P
Update: So, the forum finally crashed. It was at about 110% of it's max size, so no surprise there. Unfortunately, this server really limits things, and if I started a new one the exact same thing would happen. So no more forum =P Just email me if you have any questions, that's mostly what people used it for.
Special treat for everyone today =D A nice whole volume of fluffy shoujo, complete with bishies and, well, hats. Boushiya Ellipsis c01-07 (end) is out, our first joint with Bliss =D Be sure to stop by for the birthday party there!
Annnnnd, another huge milestone for SiH! Today we're releasing Ao no Fuuin v11 c53, which ends the series! AnF was SiH's first project of any real length, and now (after like 6 years O.o), we've finally completed it. Woohoo!!! The ending wraps things up wonderfully, and I think everyone will love it! Kudos on this series go out to Belial who translated the greater majority of the series, and even more so to LadyNagisa, who scanned and edited nearly all of it. Enjoy the ending! And another milestone project gets a poll =D
I'm beginning to think that Del and Lelei may be the beginning of the zombie apocalypse O.o My Girl v02 c15 & Shiroi Kumo c04 to tide you over till tomorrow ^^
So, a momentous occasion =D We've finally finished Gin no Yuusha!! One of our earlier projects, isn't it awesome! Serious kudos to Sagami for translating this one (ages ago, too!), and Yohina and Glassy for coming to the rescue and editing it. Enjoy! I've made a poll just for it =D
So... seems like most people enjoyed the Halloween treasure hunt =D To be honest, I just threw it together because I have a secret obsession love connection with that particular mangaka (we hope to debut Ultrabaroque Deprogrammer by the end of the month, by the way <3), and I wanted to show off his stuff. You know, start the sharing process slowly, just ease it in. He doesn't belong to me. Must share *nodnod*. Runs away with her pretties. (Oh, and the normal DDLs are up for the Halloween releases now.)
Annnyway, we've got the return of a long-stalled project, My Girl. Despite our best efforts, we've been unable to contact the head of Aku-Tenshi, so we're dissolving the joint and continuing it ourselves. c10 was still a joint effort, though! And more Gin. Because I just want to finish that manga fast ;) Enjoy!
The Festival of Samhain October 31st, 2009 :: Comments
We shall call this the gray land, for it carries neither light nor dark, but only the stale remnants of ages past. If you wish to find light or darkness, you must leave reality behind and enter the festival of Samhain. Untainted fragments of light and darkness line the path, treasures waiting to be harvested. Fragments of Kugutsu, Gin no Yuusha, Doll Star, Jikan Kuukan Jinbutsu, and Uragiri wa Boku no Namae o Shitteiru await your pursuit. Walk carefully, and choose your path wisely. Should you grow wary of the quest, know that the fragments shall coalesce here in this gray land as the festival of Samhain fades into a distant memory.
Trickery is but deceit, and treasures are the best of treats. Your wish has been fulfilled; it is up to you to discern the sweet apples from their poisoned kin.
Releases! Doublets is a supernatural shoujo, but with some nice action and, well, hella coolness. Doublets is serializing right now, and unfortunately c3 won't come out in Japan for a while yet. Doublets c01-02 Gin no Yuusha v04 c16
New poll! I like these strange new poll thingies O.o This one is meant guilt-trip me and help get me out of the procrastination cycle.
The first of our non-release posts =D I'm kinda wanting to make the site a little more personal and blogy, and a little less "Here's the releases, now go away!". The problem is that when we release, I've usually just spent forever QCing manga, so the last thing I want to do is write up a nice blog post about life, the universe, and everything. The solution? Write nice blogy posts on non-release days!
Anyway! SiH has evolved into a multi-headed monster of staffers with different tastes, but constant throughout all the tastes is the love of prettily drawn men ~ saving the day, wooing the girl, wooing the guy, or just going through life being pretty. I mean, really, what's a SiH manga without a cool male character? So our first poll is for your favorite male character in our ongoing series! (Yes, lame, but I'm curious as to the result, so =P).
Now that I just made everyone do work, I shall reward you with a peek into the future-bishie harem. That is, upcoming bishies from current series (not introduced yet, so I guess this is a mild spoiler?), as well as bishies from future projects that're already in the works. And spoiler-less comments. Because what fun would this be without comments? Click to enlarge... and enjoy <3
More goodies ^^ And, folks, this finishes off the main story for Lonesome Eden. We'll get to the side story eventually, but it's completely unrelated, so it's not a priority ^^
New layout time! Yamashita Tomoko love <3 Layout credits are in the FAQ, as always. You will also notice something new on the layout, Google ads. We're trying them out as an experiment to help defray the (excessive O.o) costs of importing manga. All ad proceeds go directly towards buying more manga, so it's a win-win situation for everyone. Ads will disappear in a few months if they're not worth it.
Now, the releases! We've got [zion] v01 c03, and Uragiri wa Boku no Namae o Shitteiru v01 c01-03. Thanks go out to Beautiful Soup for letting us take over Uragiri and helping us get it jump-started! As per our usual whimsical ways, we did start at the beginning to keep things consistent, but I promise some quick releases to get us to v2 and the new stuff! And anyone new to the series, enjoy :)
Last month was super-slow on releases (I blame it on coding the new layout =D), so we've got a bunch piled up to get through. Expect some releases of the more popular series soon, as well as a good amount of new projects (which I've stalled for long enough ~ time to just get 'em out!). I'm also going to be posting some non-release "fun" posts with glimpses at new manga, polls, and general rambling to liven things up around there ^^ You know... because I can, aha.
Yo! We need some editors. Have lots of new and shiny things to give you, from supernatural shoujo shinies to BL shinies and beyond! Click on the info link above to read up and apply! As for releases~
In other news, due to a general lack of interest and the fact that we couldn't find a translator for months, we've dropped Neo Angelique. One vol of fluff is enough, right...? ^^
Update Oct 01: Hush, we're still alive. Making a new layout, and somehow the thought that "I can't release anything until the new layout is up!" popped into my head and won't go away. It'll be done by next week, I swear~ (all my coding skills seem to have deserted me O.o). Everything's moving fine behind the scenes ^^ Updated the project pages.
So ~ ultra-productive week, got some vols scanned, some vols translated, some new shiny projects going, etc =D Just a couple things to break the dry spell...
NOTE: I forgot to upload the files O.o The online reading works, but I won't be able to get the zips uploaded until I get home (~11hrs from when I wrote this...). Sorry about that! Will get them up as soon as I can! Downloads are up!
So! This finishes up Illumination (yaaaay!) ~ and you will totally see more by the mangaka here at SiH, because Del and I lurve her. Also finishes up Watashitachi no Shiawasena Jikan -- which you will need a tissue box for. Thanks to Psycho-Pandas for putting up with me on this joint =D Also, I'm ~finally~ continuing Dawn Tsumetai Te from where I left it with Boku-Tachi. That said, I'm swamped, so if anyone else is interested in translating the series, please poke me. Otherwise it'll be as slow as all the other series I'm translating ^^ But anyway, enjoy it all!
Edit August 31st: Been focusing on getting some scripts done and into editing, so probably no releases until the weekend! Sorry about the wait~
...so I was very, very bad last week ^^; But I did get a little bit QCed! 7Seeds v08 c44 and Illumination c01-03 (which happens to be the complete main story)! Illumination is compliments of Delilaryn, who is probably too high on pain meds to notice this update =D And, erm, as much as I don't like BL romance, I like this manga... so check it out on my enthusiastic recommendation? Realistic BL ~ how you stand out from the crowd.
In other news, we could use an editor or two. Mostly for the project Uragiri wa Boku no Namae o Shitteiru, since the trans are piling up faster than any single editor can deal with! Possibly some more shoujo/shounen projects open as well. Please apply if you'd like to help!
Okay! Couple more to appease the masses ^^ First up, Lonesome Eden c04 ~ which is actually a cliffhanger leading into the final chapter, so I'll try to get c5 out soon =D
Also, with a huge FINALLY, I present to you Sengoku Strays v01 c02!! We get how popular this is, and thanks for the patience ~ we had so many vanishing editors on the project that I thought it was cursed ^^; But I've got two new lovelies working on it, so we should be able to release this at a better pace now *crosses fingers*. Enjoy =D
Well, I finished 3 of the 5 chapters I had planned for today... so that's something, right? *coughs* Anyway! We've sorted out the editor situation on 7Seeds, so we've got more of that for you: 7Seeds v08 c43. We've also got a treat ~ a short story ^^ This is a three part short story. Aku-Tenshi released part 1, and we're finishing it off with c2-3. Everyone enjoy Frost c02-03 [fin]! Dark yaoi with a plot? It does exist!
Yes, still slacking. But it's so much fun! Anyway, we knew it was coming, and Harlem Beat is in fact licensed. It magically appeared on Tokyopop's website about a week ago. As per our policy, we're going to release what we have done and drop the series. Downloads will be available for one week, and that's it. We ask that everyone who enjoyed the series purchase the hard copy to support Tokyopop and the mangaka.
...yes, we did happen to have it all done. It was just stuck in the Kal-is-too-lazy-to-QC black hole ^^; Serious kudos go out to Usagi9210 and Delilaryn for scanning and translating this entire series! And all the editors along the way =D Enjoy the ending, it's nice one!
Itty bitty release: Watashitachi no Shiawasena Jikan c07 (joint PP). I, ah, had an unexpected run-in with a new MMORPG this weekend. It mugged me and left me for dead. So... that's probably it, release-wise. Will try to trickle some chapters out over the week ^^;
A whole bunch of popular ones in there =D Anyway, some announcements! We had an editor hiccup with 7Seeds, which is why it's been a while since the last release. We could use a dedicated editor on the series, so please apply if you'd like the job! Also, we're giving Bronze no Tenshi to Stage Storm, a group that loves Chiho Saito much more than we do! You'll get faster releases from them, I promise ^^ Otherwise, enjoy!=
Long time no release! But we're back and have... far too much to release. Have a couple new QCers on board, so expect a couple big weekends in a row ^^ So, the goodies...
Some notables in there! Well, obviously, that finishes off two series! And I'm going to say the exact same thing about both: If you thought the first half of Heaven's Love was "meh", give the second a shot. It's the better story by far ^^ And as for Boku... well, I liked the short story at the end of v5 (extra 1) about a hundred times as much as the main story, but that could just be me. Yeah *nodnod*. Also! We totally finished two series so we totally get to start one, right? Right!? Lonesome Eden is a first for us ~ it's a manhua (originally written and published in Chinese). And it's full of gothic art and some amazing angst. Josei fans should check it out!
